Mid July Update!

Okay, unlike the past of my summer so far, the time in between here and then can be quite...exciting. Starting off, A few days ago I went down to Boston Chinatown as a sort of a family trip. When we arrived there, It was actually a festival going on. Booths were set up everywhere, the area was very crowded, and to top it off, there was a show in the middle of it all. Being surrounded by orientals everywhere made me feel like I was home. xD
Of course, I couldn't have left without taking some pictures of the show itself. I arrived quite late and left an hour early, so I don't have the entire show down, but I kinda also took the pictures on my crappy phone so don't expect hi-res pics. Well then again, by now I'm sure you all learned not to expect very much from me. ;P

When I got there, they were doing Lion Dances:


After that, they begun showing Tai Chi:


After that they begun showing the fighting styles of Tai Chi:




After al that awesome show of skillz, they went on to show the much more amazing body of steel(or maybe perhaps the neck of steel?):


btw, notice the American flag among all the oriental flag? What's up with that?

After an amazing display of skillz, the next to come were fan dancing:


Then After that kids got on the stage and did a rather cute lion dance:


After that were some rather amazing flag twirling:


Followed by even more fan dancing!:


And then I had to leave :(
Well, at the very least, I had fun. Kinda made my summer worth it. After seeing all that, it made me wonder how awesome our race of the orients really are. We are quite the exotic race, aren't we? Well, maybe except for me xD
Kinda hard being exotic when you can't do anything exotic. Maybe I should pick up a skill or two on my own culture or so.

Well, all in all, I feel like this post is more complete than any of my posts now and ever xD
I have more to say but I cannot remember what they are right now. Maybe later I'll come back to post another time. Until then...enjoy your summer(again)!

Aand I'm back. Though the internet has been very despising of me lately. Not much has happened in between now and then. Although I did go see The Last Airbender. Now that was a bunch of awesome cgi in one movie. Because of it, i'd gladly go see the other movies that are bound to follow suit after the first book.

Other than that, I've gotten the hang(?) of barchords. And by that I mean not really. I think i'll get there. Eventually. It's gunna be a while before i can play free bird. ;P

Really though, it's a boring summer so far with nothing to entertain me with but insect bites that i'm semi allergic to which causes them to create a blister that can infinitely expand, albeit at a very slow rate. It's a fun summer, if your definition of fun consists of itching, popping blisters, being bored to hell and back, and lacking internet. Well, it's not really that bad...I mean, if it weren't for certain friends here i'd gladly want to be back in college where I really don't have to deal with all these things which i find to be really unnecessary. Either way though, I'm stuck here with no way out till summer comes to it's close.
 Have a better summer than the one i'm having. :/
