Haven't posted a real post here since last year. That's pretty bad.
Well anyways, onto the fun stuff!
-January:
What did I do over january? nothing.
I think I played Catherine. It's a strange game that seems like the worst hentai ever. Then you pop the disc in and run it. Suddenly you're climbing, pushing, pulling, hanging from blocks. All to reach the top to escape some sort of symbolic creepy thing. But other than that, it's a pretty good game. The main character is some guy named Vincent. He's in a relationship with a girl named Katherine. Then one day at the bar, Vincent meets another girl named Catherine and shit goes down. Then as Vincent, you get to decide how should Vincent handle such a situation.
Also, I watched Chaos; Head. It's an anime about a hikikomori, a person who outcasts himself from the outside world. One who stays inside all the time. He has delusions about a fake in-anime anime character who's his favorite anime character. He's a high school student who goes to a prestigious private high school. But he outcasts himself so much to the point where he made a minimal attendance chart so he can attend the least amount of classes and still graduate. He is also the God-player of an in-anime MMO 'empire sweeper online'. He is also one of those guys who hates the 3-d world saying stuff like the 2-d world is much better.
Well, one day, his in-game friends talk to him about some bizzare events called 'new generation' events. There has been some, but the nature of these events is really what causes the main character to take notice of such things. Like one of the events involved a dead fetus getting stuffed inside a dead man's stomach. Which is pretty gross sounding by itself. So the guy gets himself involved in the New Gen events and all this ends up tying in with the delusions he has. Also, the best morale i learned from this anime is that one way to get chicks is to become a schizophrenic, I might wanna try that one out someday.
And the last thing for january, was this poor game called 'Saya no Uta'. It's a visual novel, so that's pretty bad by itself. It's a game developed by Nitro Plus. The story follows the main charater, Fuminori who recently got into a terrible car accident on a family trip where a tractor landed in their car. Royally messing up the car and killing everyone but him, however Fuminori had to go through lost of mental surgeries and procedures to make it. He did. His senses slowly came back to him. The last one being sight. However, when his sight came back, the world changed for him, forever. The mental stuff he went through changed his perspective so that everything is nothing but gory meat, organs and pulsating slabs of insides. People where these strange tentacle monsters who from a distance looks like a pile of meat. The walls and floors and everything else around him looked like the insides of a beast. The sounds weren't normal either. It was all disturbing. Every voice he heard made him want to throw up, these were clearly not human voices. His sense of smell changed as well. The smell of the room alone made him nauseous. Even his sense of touch changed. Everything was slimy and gross. This world could be considered a world of hell. When he looked outside, not much has changed. The world outside is exactly like the world in that room. To top it off, the sky is black. No sun, no stars, no lights, no nothing. Pitch black. On the verge of committing suicide to escape this hell, he meets a young girl, by the name of Saya, the first human sensing thing he's seen since the operation. And then we get to see their misadventures together.
After that comes February. What happened over february? Also nothing.
As for games/animes?
First came Deus Machina Demonbane. Yet another Nitro Plus game. It follows a third rate detective named Daijuuji Kurou. Now before I get more into this game, let me sum it up in three words: Mecha, Lovecraft, Lolis.
Then came yet another Nitro Plus game. This is totally not a Nitro Plus run, I swear. This one is called 'Hanachirasu'. It follows a swordsman Takeda Akane.
Hanachirasu is set in a parallel timeline where nuclear weaponry was never developed. As such, Japan continued to fight through World War II, ending aggressions only when Hokkaido and Kyushu were occupied by Russia and America, respectively.
The game itself takes place in early 21st century Tokyo, which has been transformed into a haven for Japanese culture thanks to the nationalistic ideals of the charismatic Ishima Kaigen. Strict policies are in place in to enforce a ban upon firearms within the city limits. Thus, though terrorism and power struggles run rampant, swordplay, not gunfire, claims the lives of those not powerful to stake out their claims here.
Our protagonist is one Takeda Akane, a swordsman driven by a desire to face his one true rival, Igarasu Yoshia.
I got lazy of typing and summarizing the intro so I copypasta'd like a n00b.
That's not all, Last is a real game. One called Neverwinter Nights 2. It's the sequel to Neverwinter Nights if you couldn't figure it out. It's a game, you click stuff and stuff dies. Really addicting, like all good bioware games. Play it. Now.
And that's all I have, I think for this past three months. Until next time.
